The Truth!
Well-now you know. This is me. In all my vainglory. Oh boy, was I angry when I did this drawing this morning- I had a haircut yesterday (Never my favourite pasttime)- I had to sit in that ghastly salon for 3and 1/2 hours while they did a “graduated bob with texturising and slicing”….??huh!
I have renamed the style, “Hung drawn and quartered” which I feel is more like it! I did this in 1 hour – I seem to draw better when I am angry ( that is what an old teacher of mine said once) I didnt know what she meant then but I do now. Tell me what you think!

Here are some of my angelscapes Hope you like them.
For this page I am collecting “artangels” – pictures of angels that you have painted – they must be oil paintings or acrylic paintings, or a very good photograph of a sculpture that you own as is the one from Theresa.
Please contact me if you have one or more of your own to offer and I will consider publishing them.

How easy is it to sell your own art? I am starting a few pages on this subject on my new website, http://www.Capeartscapes with links I have found useful over the past year or so that I have been engaged in this pursuit. I have found a lot of advertising about a US-based site called e-bay and have been tempted to join it but as yet have not done so for various reasons – call it pride perhaps! I don’t know why I have been avoiding this route. I am sure it is a perfectly legitimate way of selling one’s work. In fact I am posting a free registration link to that very page where one can sign up. I think one of the main reasons why I have been avoiding that route is that as far as I know e-bay does not provide Paypal options to South Africans – if anyone has updated information on this I would be grateful if you would leave me a message. My website is a work in progress so please don’t expect a fully professional look – I’m working on it!
E Bay provides you with the opportunity to auction your Art

Painting from photographs.
This is a demonstration of a seascape in oils. I have no problem with paintings made from a photograph you have taken yourself. This photo was taken at a beach called “Boulder’s”- a lovely beach near Simonstown near Cape Town. Penguins used to wander about freely on the beach, but now they have become big business for the tourists which is a pity – consequently they look a bit depressed (the penguins, not the tourists!) I made a video called “Depressed Penguins” which I shall be uploading shortly – watch this space!

Has a painting ever made you laugh till you cry. This one did – maybe it helped having two teenage boys looking over my shoulder at the time!

I have at last managed to brave the world of webdesign and have launched my own website. This is where I have most of my art posted for you to browse. It is called vkArt. Sometimes my server is a bit slow to update my pages, so please forgive me if the links aren’t always 100% operable!
In spite of this I hope you will still visit me and drop me an email or leave a comment on this page.
Thank you!
